Praise the Lord!

My Illinois background check is DONE and in the hands of our home study director!!

We’d been out to Steger, IL twice to get this done and each time we walked away defeated. Yesterday afternoon my darling Boz called them and explain (again) the whole situation. Only this time he spoke to a really nice guy! He felt bad that we’ve been out there a few times and that nothing was going right, so he took down the info and said he’d have the Sheriff run the check and would FAX it in to our home study agency!! And guess what… HE DID!! Boz got a call from Alice (director) saying she had received it!!

Now all we’re waiting on for the HOME STUDY to be complete is our Child Protective Services clearance to come back! I’m GIDDY!!!

So please pray we’ll get our CPS Clearance back soon. Also, please pray for some very dear friends of ours, Katie & Jeff Seevers. We “met” them on this journey and they are also waiting for the CPS clearance to come back…. Only they’ve been waiting for about SEVEN (7!) WEEKS already and they still haven’t heard anything. They live in Ohio and it sounds like others out there are having issues getting their clearances back. So if you could lift them up as well that would be incredible!! We’re pretty much in the exact same spot in our adoptions and are really hoping to be travel buddies!!
