Alright people, we’re down to the wire here. This has the potential of being a big week for us and others from our agency…. Rather, we NEED it to be a big week.
First, there are TWO things we’re asking you to join us in prayer on….
1. That we’ll get a call about our court date. While we are well aware we will not be traveling any time soon… It would be so wonderful to have a date to circle on our calendar that we can countdown to!! This whole adoption I feel like we’ve been flying blind and it’d be so nice to have this one thing cemented down for us.
2. Pray that the MOWYCA (Ministry of Women, Youth and Children Affairs) approval letters get written! We had a number of good friends “pass court pending the letter” – if they get the letter this week then they’ll pass court!! If the letters do not make it prior to court closing, they’ll have to wait until court re-opens to pass. This would absolutely kill me if I were in their shoes. They all met their kids for the first time about 2 weeks ago, went to court and everything was there (which in one case was a miracle!) ~ except for the MOWYCA letter. They need this approval letter to pass, so please pray that MOWYCA gets caught up on all their cases before court closures!!!
If you want to pray specifically for those families, they are the:
Fish family
Russell family
Johnson family
Brannan family
Seevers family
Boosalis family
Marquez family
Autry family
Mason family
Kishpaugh family
In other news…. We should be getting our first monthly update on our kids!! Woot-Woot! Each month we’re allowed 5 questions per child, and we’re hoping to be getting those answers this week!!
Also, Heather & Michael are in Ethiopia right now bringing home their little man…. And they took pictures and videos for us!! She’s hoping to get them uploaded tonight and will be sending them over!!! SO EXCITED!!
In non-adoption news, we should be getting our new kitchen floor delivered this week!! We had some issues with a section of our kitchen floor (not sure if it was from water damage or mold… or mold b/c of water damage?) but my dad came out last week and got everything fixed for us (YAY for HANDY DADS!! ~ though he owns a construction company… he’d better be handy!), and a good friend of ours (best man in our wedding) is a flooring guy, so he’s going to come and help Boz install it. I feel like our house is *finally* coming together!
Aside from that, there’s not much going on.

I've been following a few of these blogs--breaks my heart for all involved. The adoption road is one of the most precious and heartbreaking roads to be on. I will be in prayer for the many that wait!
