My friend's daughter named 3 of their new ducks after us ~ Dave. Jody. Baby Boz. :-) The BEST part... Dave & Jody (the ducks) are Jumbo Pekins (white ducks) while Baby Boz is a Chocolate Runner (brown duck). HOW FITTING IS THAT!?!?

Very cute story...and exciting news for your friends. Our friends just received their daughter's picture from Korea. So special to get to celebrate.
For someone who doesn't want to be known as the white couple with the black kid, you sure do make a big deal out of adopting a African child.
I LOVE the duck names and choice of ducks ......Claire has NO idea she did what she did, she has a "momma" duck, a "daddy" duck and the "baby" duck...plain and simple...there is no black, white, orange, red or purple people in our house...we're all God's children regardless of how we are on the inside and/or outside....To the "anonymous" person who thinks Dave & Jody are making a big deal out of it.....either you don't know them well, or you really blow things out of porportion -- my kids see our differences as God's way of telling us all apart, whether that is by our height, weight, birthmark, skin color, freckles, or any other general appearance characterisitic....perhaps you should open your eyes and your hearts to see things as they really are. Dave & Jody are full of love, compassion, integrity, encouragment, commitment and passion for a child their hearts have yet to meet...they don't care what color this child is, how old this child is, or where this child came from.....only that he will be a gift to them, a gift more precious than any other. So, to you, Mr/Mrs. Anonymous: I hope that your heart finds happiness wherever it looks, and in whatever size/shape/color that happiness happens to come in.
PS -- Jodes -- The Boz-Ducks are doing great, and are well loved by one little 4 year old...you'll have to come out and meet them soon ☺
