Volleyball Tournament Update

Our vball tournament was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! We had the Women's tourny Friday night and the Men's tourney on Saturday. It was a CRAZY WEEKEND.

Right after work i went straight to the school to help out. When i got there my folks, along with Boz's folks were already there! YAY! So the 5 of us manned the concession stand. After a while, my in-laws left and it was just me and my folks. It'd been a while since I've hung out with just them - it was so much fun (even though mom and i were sick)! I forgot what time we left, but they didn't get home until close to 11pm!

Woke up early on Saturday morning and headed back for the second day. Boz left about an hour before i did, as he had some setting up to do. Can i just say what an AMAZING MAN he is!? He's the most incredible person I've ever met! He put so much time and effort into making this tournament happen, and it showed. We received SO.... MANY.... COMPLIMENTS on the night!!! Most of them wanted to know when we were going to have another tournament. They were all positive that we'd get EVEN MORE players signed up because the first was such a hit, and everyone was going to tell their friends. That was awesome to hear. Though I'm pretty certain we won't be doing this again.... at least not right away. Perhaps in the spring!?

Saturday was a bit slower (at the concessions) than Friday had been. Kind of expected it though - who wants to eat that early in the morning!? So it was a L-O-N-G day. HOWEVER, i had the most incredible helper - our friend STEVE! Talk about another amazing person. He spent the whole day sitting back there with me. I really don't think we could ask for a better friend. And just when things were about to pick up (lunch rush) in walks PAM!!! Again, talk about an AMAZING FRIEND! Come to find out she and Steve went to school together. So they were able to catch up, and she and i were able to catch up - it was PERFECT!

THANK YOU PAM!!! THANK YOU STEVE!!! You both saved my day as i would have surely died of boredom!

Now, what I'm sure you've been waiting for.... how did we do?? Over the weekend (really, within 24 hours!) we raised.... $2,185.50
