Submitted to EMBASSY!!!!!

SO.... Uh... Forget that last email. Found out about 10 minutes after writing that that WE WERE SUBMITTED TO EMBASSY!!!!

The Email:

Congratulations, your embassy paperwork was submitted today!

We are excited for your family as you enter into this final stage of your adoption process. Many families have commented this season of waiting is the hardest, and our prayer for your family is that you will have a peace that passes understanding as you wait through this final season. I will be sending you copies of the paperwork submitted for your family later this afternoon.

We anticipate hearing from the embassy by November 16th to let us know whether you are cleared or if any additional paperwork or time is needed. The embassy is currently asking for additional paperwork or information for most cases, so I would encourage you to prepare for this to occur for your children’s case. Most additional documents they request must be obtained through the orphanage and can take anywhere from a few days to 1-2 weeks to obtain.

Based on this timeline, you could potentially be cleared in as little as a few days, or as long as several weeks from now. As soon as you are cleared or if any additional documentation is requested, the embassy will email us and let us know. Your family will be copied on all correspondence the embassy sends.
