2nd Waiting Email

We just received the following email ~ So Exciting! Now I have to run and check out the booklet they sent.

Dear Dave & Jody,

While the waiting stage of an Ethiopia adoption can be trying, it is only the beginning to what will be a lifelong change. The moment you accept the referral of your child, your life will become different. America World strongly encourages your family to use the waiting stage as a time of preparation for this change.

We hope you enjoyed the first mailing. The purpose of this second mailing is to prepare you for what is to come. This document will provide basic information on Ethiopian culture. This booklet is not comprehensive, but is intended to offer a starting point for your own research to orient you with your adoptive child's birth country.

We understand that the waiting stage is long and difficult for many families. However, this season can also be a wonderful opportunity for you and your family to prepare your hearts and minds for the wonderful blessings God has in store for you and to trust in His perfect timing.

You should expect one additional mailing throughout the waiting stage. We hope that you will read and enjoy these mailings and that the information they contain will be sources of knowledge and wisdom during this time of preparation. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
